A world without friends
This would be ideal
Locked away forever
My room is all that's real

By the warmth of my computer's glow
I sit and write all day
Who cares what goes on outside
Now that I'm shut away?

My brainchildren are all I need
They always will be true
They would never lie to me
Unless I told them to

I trust them completely
As one rightly should
They could never betray me
Where real people would
Another poem of mine, this time recycled from my old account.

This poem does NOT AT ALL reflect how I feel these days. When I wrote this, I was pretty fucked up in the head, but I have since gotten help, both from professionals and from friends (whose help costs less but is worth so much more, by the way). Regardless... I like the poem itself. It is one of my better pieces, I feel.

I love you all, my friends. Every last one of you. Thank you for sticking with me, even- no, ESPECIALLY- when I was at my worst.

Yes, it's all too easy to feel this way, especially when you spend more of your time online than with friends. Fortunately, there's such a thing as online friends! :D

I can understand how you felt, because I often feel the same way, but in the end I always like having friends to talk to and go back to.

Wow, though not my situation (And if it was I guess it would really be disturbing) this explains the feelings of so many that live in isolation, not being able to trust anyone... Hikikomori I think they call them
I just love the title, the fact that is misleading makes it more interesting
Hey! I had seen this one before :D

Hey, you know what? Sometimes it's good to write poems you don't necessarily agree with. Helps one become more flexible and whatnot, ya know?

Uh, I really love this one! The timing and the rhymes is great! It's very touching the message of the poem and that's really makes me think about how I'm honored and blessed for having meeting such great friends in my life! :aww:
Thank you so much for sharing this with us!

This is very good! And, yes; I, too, can relate to this -- especially from my teen years! Keep up the good work!! :+fav:

I can relate to this. There are times I have felt the same. We should never forget about real people and our friends. Even if many of them are behind the screen. :)
